Tips for Making the Activity More Fun

Move like a pretend bug: After tracing a path, make a larger version on scrap paper or trace the same shape in the air. Take a short movement break before returning to the page.

Make your own I-Spy: Draw a few simple bugs on a page and hide one among flowers or leaves. Take turns finding the hidden picture and describing where it is.

Add a nature connection: During an outdoor walk, look for insects without touching or disturbing them. Back home, draw something you noticed and compare its shape or movement with the worksheet pictures.

Keep sessions short and choose the task to suit your child’s interest. If number writing is frustrating, let them tell you the total while you record it. They can still take part in the counting.
